SMS Opt-In Policy

TheWeddingTicket.com  ·  67 Percent Inc. d/b/a The Wedding Ticket  ·  Last Updated: July 28, 2026

1. Overview

The Wedding Ticket sends SMS (text) messages only to wedding guests who explicitly opt in. This policy describes exactly how consent is collected, what we send, how to opt out, and how consent records are kept.

2. How Consent Is Collected

  • When a guest responds to a wedding invitation, they choose how to receive it: by email or by text message. Text messaging is never the default.
  • A guest who chooses text messages enters their own mobile phone number. Hosts cannot opt guests in to SMS; consent is provided only by the individual who owns the number.
  • Consent is collected through a checkbox that is unchecked by default and is presented with the following language:

“By checking this box, I agree to receive SMS messages from The Wedding Ticket about this wedding invitation and related event updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of using The Wedding Ticket or attending this event.”

  • After opting in, the guest receives a confirmation text message that acknowledges their enrollment and repeats the opt-out instructions.

3. What We Send

Messages are event-related only: delivery of the wedding invitation, RSVP confirmations and reminders, and related event updates. We do not send promotional or marketing text messages.

4. Opting Out

Guests can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and can reply HELP for assistance. Opt-outs are honored promptly. A guest who opts out receives no further text messages; their invitation and event communications continue by email.

5. Message Frequency and Rates

Message frequency varies with event activity. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Privacy and Data Sharing

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with service providers acting on our behalf as necessary to deliver messages. For more information, see our Privacy Policy at theweddingticket.com/privacy-policy.

7. Records of Consent

We retain proof of each opt-in, including the consent language presented, the phone number provided, and the date and time consent was given.

8. Compliance

Our text messaging program operates in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and applicable A2P 10DLC registration requirements.
