1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all use of The Wedding Ticket by hosts, guests, contributors, and other users. It is incorporated into the Host Terms of Service and Guest Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in the applicable Terms.
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use The Wedding Ticket for illegal, fraudulent, abusive, deceptive, or prohibited activity. Prohibited uses include:
- fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or other unlawful financial activity;
- charitable solicitations that falsely claim tax deductibility or otherwise misrepresent the nature of a contribution;
- gambling, raffles, lotteries, sweepstakes, prize promotions, or similar regulated activity without all required authorization;
- transactions involving weapons, illegal drugs, controlled goods or services, exploitation, unlawful adult content, or other activity prohibited by applicable law, card-network rules, or Stripe policies;
- human trafficking or exploitation;
- fraudulent, sham, or shell wedding or event schemes;
- synthetic identities, impersonation, or knowingly false identity information; and
- any activity intended to evade payment, identity, risk, security, sanctions, or compliance controls.
3. Transaction and Payment Integrity
- You may not structure or stagger large contributions into smaller installments for the purpose of evading payment, verification, monitoring, or risk controls. We may require advance written approval for unusual transaction patterns.
- You may not create multiple accounts, profiles, or wedding pages to circumvent identity verification, payment thresholds, payout restrictions, holds, reserves, or other controls.
- You may not use another person's card, payment account, or identity without authorization.
- You may not use proxies, VPNs, third-party payers, or other methods for the purpose of obscuring the actual identity of a contributor or host.
4. Guest Information and Communications
Guest-list, self-add, invitation, email, and text-messaging features may be used only for legitimate purposes related to the applicable wedding or event.
- Do not upload, import, purchase, rent, scrape, or use contact lists that are not reasonably connected to legitimate prospective guests of the event.

- Do not knowingly provide another person's contact information for an improper or unauthorized purpose.
- Do not represent that you have authority to consent to communications on another adult's behalf when you do not.
- Do not bypass, defeat, or circumvent a guest approval, text-message consent, suppression, or opt-out control.
- Do not re-add, re-import, alter, or substitute contact information for the purpose of resuming communications with a person who has opted out.
- Do not use event communication features for unrelated commercial advertising, third-party promotions, lead generation, bulk marketing, spam, harassment, or other messages unrelated to the event.
- Do not send or direct messages in a manner that you know violates a recipient's communication preference or applicable law.
5. Content and Communications
Users may upload photographs, images, text, messages, event descriptions, and other content through The Wedding Ticket. You may not upload, publish, transmit, or use the service to distribute content that:
- contains nudity, pornography, sexually explicit material, or sexually suggestive imagery that a reasonable person would consider inappropriate for a family-friendly event or invitation;

- is otherwise unlawful or reasonably likely to create a safety or security risk for users or the service.
The Wedding Ticket's messaging features may be used only for legitimate communications relating to the applicable event. Users may not use messaging features to send threatening, harassing, abusive, sexually explicit, discriminatory, deceptive, or intentionally harmful communications; impersonate another person; repeatedly contact someone who has asked not to be contacted; or send spam, unrelated advertising, or promotional messages.
We may remove or restrict access to content, disable messaging functionality, or suspend or terminate accounts when we reasonably believe content or communications violate this Policy, applicable law, or the rights or safety of others.
6. Self-Add and Guest Approval Features
When a wedding or event uses a QR code, shared link, or other self-add feature, submissions must be made in good faith for the purpose of joining the applicable event guest list. Users may not use self-add features to harass a host, create fake guests, test stolen contact information, overwhelm an event, or interfere with another user's access to the service.
Hosts may approve or reject self-add submissions where the service provides that functionality. Users may not attempt to circumvent a host's approval or rejection decision.
7. Geographic and Sanctions Restrictions
The service is intended for use in the United States. Access or use by sanctioned persons or in violation of applicable embargoes or sanctions restrictions is prohibited. The Wedding Ticket and its service providers may screen accounts and transactions against applicable sanctions lists and may restrict or terminate activity based on sanctions-related risk.
8. Identification and Verification
The Wedding Ticket or its service providers may request additional identity verification, documentation, or information when needed for fraud prevention, sanctions screening, payment compliance, account security, or other legitimate risk and compliance purposes. You may not knowingly provide false, altered, or misleading verification information.
9. Misrepresentation
You may not misrepresent your identity, relationship to an event, the nature or location of an event, the purpose of a contribution, the intended use of funds, a guest's identity, or your authority to provide information or direct communications.
10. Security and Platform Integrity
- Do not interfere with platform security, access controls, rate limits, monitoring, or other technical safeguards.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or infrastructure.
- Do not upload malicious code, exploit vulnerabilities, scrape the service without authorization, or use automated tools in a manner that harms or disrupts the service.

11. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, suppress communications, restrict features, hold or reverse transactions through Stripe where permitted, suspend or terminate accounts, or take other reasonable measures to protect users and the service. We may report violations to Stripe, service providers, regulatory authorities, or law enforcement when appropriate or required by law.
